October 2009 ddc chat - crawling through the tulips in may - Page 3

Anyone else got a cruiser? Owen started crawling at exactly 7 months, and 2 weeks later we have standing and cruising. Also we have a baby who eats EVERYTHING on the floor, it's a constant battle of fishing crap out of his mouth. He's eaten dog hair, a rock, sand, flowers, grass, dirt, leaves, and just about anything else he can find. Ugh.

The last few weeks have been the hardest since Owen was born, we have had so much sleeping issues with the new mobility, he also had a rash for a few weeks-at first I thought roseola, but it never really seemed like that-not sure what it was. He never was really fussy, but was itchy. We eliminated most foods and he was on a milk diet, the rash stayed, changed laundry soap-it stayed. Now it's gone, he also has been sleeping again-thank goodness.

We have been super busy-I started a new job at our local bakery making cookies and prepping 3 evenings week-it's great, relaxing and nice to get away from the kids. We are gardening and outside, it's been fun, other than trying to keep the little guy from eating everything in the yard.

Happy spring ladies and babies!

hello all! love the pictures! here is one of Vladimir

Norasmomma: sorry to hear about Owen's rash.

we've been having a tough time too. Vlad has been teething (his 1st tooth just broke through yesterday). he had heat rash last week. i'm going to miss the cool spring temps.
like many of you we are also doing BLS. he loves asparagus, banana, & green beans. he has been staying around 21 lbs for the past month. he isn't into crawling but loves rolling and dancing with assistance.

Nice to see some other skinny minnys on here! Bianca is doing very well, army crawling and hopping like a little frog. She's been standing for a while and is just starting to cruise. She got her two bottom teeth last week (how did that happen so fast?!). Now that she has teeth I'm starting BLSolids. This morning she gagged on her apple which makes me nervous, I need to read up more on it. She's keeping me busier than ever and from the older babes around me, I see it's just going to get busier! Enjoy your babies everyone!

love the pics!!! we'vve been swamped with school ending, graduation, college shopping, enrollment, and now vacation on friday!

millie loves to stand, but she can't stand alone. crawling...she can't get her fat belly off the ground lol! she's doing great, still the same super dooper clingon, but we are dealing with that (mostly us being dumb about it!) and she's been healthy even during a recent cold that her sisters had!

more later, i've gotta go get some pics uploaded!

astar - awesome pic - we are trying ec too but not consistently - what a gorgeous smile on him!

norasmommy - go owen, cruising for a few weeks - cool!

jen - sounds like a full plate

afm, everett is standing and lets go and can stand for a few seconds before he lands on his bum. teething has sucked, amber teething necklace seems to help but man...sleep is elusive. and thankful we have a/c - omg it's going to be 35... 40 with the humidity (95 and about 105-110 with humidity) - you all may get that in may in the southern us but here in ottawa canada this is like a heat wave in july - it's been a week and a half of pure heat, and it certainly makes the laundry dry super fast in the sun...wow!

other than that, lots of gardening, kiddie pool time, bbqs and using the splash park less than a 5min walk away. all this sun-induced vit d has been a real lift as the ppd has been kinda bad.

we just had a holiday wknd, but wishing all you american mamas a great memorial day wknd.

Glad to hear all the lo's are doing so well

Ds is 8mos now and no where near crawling and still has no teeth... Neither are surprising though b/c my earliest crawler was my first baby at 10.5 mos!

We are finally enjoying some warm weather around here and finishing up school. Dd graduated from Kindergarten today

I took this picture the other day of the little guy in all his drooling glory!
I am pretty sure those teeth will be coming soon!
