Anyone seen the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie yet?
Ds loves the books.

We did! It follows the first book pretty closely, though there are some obvious changes. It was pretty funny, most of the theater was laughing at certain parts.

My 8 year old loves the books and he really enjoyed the movie.

I didn't see it but my 11-year-old did. He didn't come home complaining for 2 weeks that it was too different from the book like he did with the Percy Jackson movie, so I'm guessing it met his expectations, LOL!

My 8 & 11 year old both saw it (as did I, lucky me ). Neither were overly impressed--- I think they would have been happy to wait for it on DVD. The both mentioned that they would have rather it been animated so it could have been more extreme AND because things that are funny in a comic aren't as funny when you see it happening to real people. They thought a couple scenes were HILARIOUS (Greg peeing for example).

My kids want to see this, too. I think we'll wait until we can download it somewhere (legally).
