How many hours or nightime and naptime sleep does your 6-8 m old get? - Page 2

My daughter generally sleeps 8-12 hours over night, with two feedings .. at 4am and 8am.

She usually takes one 1.5-2 hour nap and two one-ish hour naps.

I also cannot understand how he is functioning without naps.

If he were happy with so little sleep, I'd be fine with it, but it kills me when he's clearly tired but I just can't get him to nap. My new thing is I'm trying to respond super-quick to ANY signs of tiredness during the day -- yawning, eye-rubbing, snuzzling into my collarbone -- and try to get him to sleep (which involves bouncing him in my arms until he falls asleep and then gently transferring him to crib). He is sleeping now (10 am), and I'm crossing my fingers it will be a good nap. He won't sleep in the Moby.

Thats my thing too... he is clearly tired and rubbing his eyes and so active.. crawling everywhere and just always moving. He is small too so I feel like he really needs his rest time where he isn't moving. From all the responses it seems he is similar to other babes on the lower end of sleep. Nighttime is fine just need to get more daytime sleep. I think Ill try to get a third nap in the late afternoon in and see if he will go for it. I try to put him right down when I notice the whining and shoulder nuzzling etc.
