Um, what is good manners on how long not to DTD before OB appt?

DH and I are kid free for a bit today (wink wink). But I have an OB appt tomorrow at noon and have GBS test and will probably opt for a cervix check while she is down there. Eh, is that bad manners? Or is DTD 24 hrs before ok?

I do it whenever I want and than just let them know the last time I did it. Unless I'm getting a pap, than I make sure there has been 24 hours before because it can scew the results.

If you are worried you could always use a condom... or take a bath before the appointment.

I wouldn't worry! My OB suggested we start DTD to get things moving.

Thanks for the advice. I never even second thought it as I figure that this late in the game the OB probably doesn't second think it. But DH was like...is there some etiquette thing there? I'd never thought about it!

My step mom actually works in the medical field and has told me before that with paps you can tell for about 72 hours afterward and even with just a visual exam a Dr. can tell for a solid day or two after. So it really depends on your comfort level on that I guess.

After coming to the decision that I really don't care and I doubt the OB would either, I fell asleep during kid free time. But I am tucking the advice here away for future appts in the next few weeks, lol.
