Why is he peeing so much!?!?

My 2 1/2 year old has been out of diapers for a few months now. We haven't had any real issues. He sleeps through the night in underwear. We go places regularly. I keep a change of clothes on hand just in case. But haven't needed them until today - when I forgot them of course!

Over the last week or so we've noticed he is peeing more and more often. Since he woke up this morning about 5 hours ago he has peed 7 times. The only thing he's had to drink is small cup of orange juice and a small cup of water.

He went at 9:45, 10:45, then wet himself at 11:50 or so and he just went AGAIN at 12:30! My husband reports that at 9:45 he peed A LOT! A TON!

What is going on! HELP!

I'd get him checked out tomorrow to see if he has a UTI or as others have mentioned, check his blood glucose to rule out any sort of diabetic issues.

No, he's not asking to drink any more. If anything I think he should be drinking more because it is pretty hot here.

He hasn't gone since 12:30 and it is now 3:10. We've been out and about and he was fine. This issue seems to be confined to mornings. Weird!

Well, he only went maybe 3 more times the whole rest of the day. Today has been totally normal.

Did he have any melon by any chance?

Any melon (not just water melon, but cantaloupe and honeydew too) and dd1 can go every 20 minutes for the balance of the day
