I am trying to help my 3 year old toddler go poop she has been constipated most of her life since a year old and we nursed till about two years old so as soon as we started any kinds of solids the poop problem started.
and the peds have her on miralax and mineral oil (which I havent given her yet) heard it robs them of their vitamins.
So anyhow we are trying to eat better she only eats oatmeal, chicken (rice) which i am told is a no no, she likes cherrios and peas and green beans, she will not any fruit or any other veggies.... So I thought maybe we can try to sprinkle some flaxseed in her cereal or dinner or something.
I read somewhere is it loaded with fiber.
Can you give me some ideas how to get more fiber in her diest beings sge doesnt like to each much, also is the whole flaxseed safe for toddlers and how much can i give her a day?
thanks
