Signs~ IUD implanting in uterus?

So I have the Paragard IUD and in the beginning my periods were heavy and long with it. Now they are short, sometimes just spotting for a couple days and then gone. I get horrid mid cycle cramping, I think it is when I ovulate. This month I had pink cm 2 days before what I think is the ovulation cramping started. My cycles are now 5 weeks instead of the normal 4. I have the IUD for 21months btw.

So I asked my mw and she said that if it were embedded I wouldn't have any symptoms but they can do a u/s to check it out if I want. I have a nagging feeling something isn't right but may be over reacting.

I had seen a post from someone here and she said she bleed nonstop when hers was implanted, that was her sign. I have tried google but can only get talk of embryo implanting .

So have any of you had your IUD implant into your uterus? What were your symptoms or did you not have any? If you didn't have any how did you know it was embedded?

Thanks to anyone who can help me decide if I need to spend the money on the u/s.

That might have been me..not sure! I bled for several weeks when mine was embedded, and was pregnant at the time. (because the IUD wasn't doing it's job!) Definitely get an ultrasound if you feel like something isn't right.

SO what ended up happening? Did they remove the IUD and were you able to carry on with the pregnancy? Hope everything turned out ok.

I miscarried when they took it out, but we knew that was the most likely scenario and were prepared for it. Getting it out was pretty painful, but my cycle got back on track the next month.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Even thought we are done having children that would still devastate me.

It has been awhile but thought I would update. I went in and had a u/s done and everything looks perfect. My periods are still all different. They will be consistent for a couple months then change it up. I have also been spotting in between periods which is annoying but anyhow just wanted to share that it can be all in the range of "normal" with a IUD.
