TIA!

I was waiting to see if someone who actually had a C-section would respond first, but no takers.

I know in Mexican hospitals when a mother has a C-section, they stitch her up and then before taking her to recovery, they bind her stomach tightly with a wide Ace bandage-type of wrap. They also do this with a vaginal birth, but usually a few hours later (in my friends' experiences).

I would imagine you can do it whenever you feel comfortable doing it.

I tried binding at about 24 hours post vaginal birth and ended up cutting the bandage off with scissors an hour or two later because it made my after pains unmanageable.

I used a belly bandit as soon as I was up and around.

Not exactly belly binding but I used two belly bands layered on top of each other starting the day after. It gave a lot more support that I really needed but was very gentle.

I am not really sure if this is the same thing, but I used a wrap thingy tightened it around my belly. It felt great.

I did it pretty much as soon as I was up and around (within 24-36 hours if I remember correctly). I was still in the hospital. I wore that thing for a few weeks, that was my 3rd baby and 3rd c section. I wish I had used it for the previous 2.
