Crossed eyes?

I am not sure where to ask this, but does anyone have experience with crossed eyes? My 4 month old seems to have one eye that tends in. It doesn't seem lazy, though. They are both focused, neither moves out if I cover the other one. Sometimes they are both straight, but mostly his left seems to be in from the center. His vision seems good - batting at stuff accurately, grabbing, etc. Clearly sees me with both eyes, tracks, etc. It's just like this one eye is sort of off-center. Does this correct itself, is it something that merits correction? I don't think it bothers him, but it looks a little funny and I suspect that it would bother him for that reason at some point.

I think you should have an pediatric ophthamalogist examine him. These things can be treated and the sooner the better. If it is amplyopia (sp?) it should be treated or the child can lose vision in the affected eye.

no harm in having him seen and collecting information. There are many ways in which to address problems like this. You can utilize the information you gather in searching for the right path for you. But I tend to agree it's good to know what you are dealing with.

I have seen good results which CST for strabismus and etropia. Suprisingly, actually. I have also known people that have had great success seeing a behavioral opthamologist. I myself had multiple surgeries starting at 5 months old, along with patches to strengthen the weaker eye. After many MANY surgeries it wasn't completely corrected. However it was better. I have used non-interventive alternative therapies as an adult with excellent success (but to fair that was after many other interventions in my life.)

Good luck.

I had lazy eye when I was young and benefited greatly from eye therapy ITA you should take them to a pediatric ophthalmologist and then they can help you from there.
