I'd like to start vacuuming our hardwood floors (whole house) more often, but getting out our big canister vac is such a production. It's a great vac (Eureka Oxygen with a HEPA filter, so I'd still like to use it once a week), but I'd love something that is quicker and lighter.
Does anyone have thoughts on stick vacuums, especially cordless ones? As I said, I've got all hardwood, but I also have a dog and 2 cats...

and didn't realize it was cordless. IMO cordless is a plus in that I'm more likely to use it, but a negative in that it def doesn't hold a charge long, and I have to take out the battery and charge it overnight on the counter, slight PIA. But I have a dog, two boys under 5 and a yard with a lot of dirt/leaves/grass, so the Shark is 100x better than having to drag out the Dyson twice a day, which is what I used to do. I would buy a cordless again b/c it's just so easy to use.
