OK, so they are claiming that 170 gm of dried quinoa = cup. But 1 cup = approx 230 g. So what gives? Anyone understand this? Is it a dry vs wet measure issue? A weight vs volume issue? Do I need to actually *weigh* my food to be accurate? Erg!

I always go by weight. Most grains are around 100 calories per ounce. 1 cup SHOULD be about 6 ounces (170) grams. Some measuring cups are TERRIBLY off, I'd check yours and invest in new ones if so innacurate

But...one cup (of liquid anyway) is 8 oz. I think this might be a weight vs volume thing, but I'd love to get that confirmed before I go buy a scale.
