So I have a ovarian cyst that is filled with blood. I was told that it should resolve in the next few days and I was given a prescription for vicodin for the intense pain.

I am still nursing my 2 year old . So what can I do for pain relief can I take the vicodin? Does anyone have any articles or facts on the topic of pain meds and breastfeeding?

I would. I took percacet (sp?) after all three c-sections and was of course nursing. It's the same as Vicodin as an L3.

I was given vicodin for my post c-section pain relief. I didn't use it much, I think the first two nights I was home, I took one, but that's it. From what I understand it's commonly prescribed post partum and is safe for nursing mothers. HTH.
