Major Infant/Children's Medicine Recall

Ok, posting this here, for the simple fact that many of us probably received a lot of this type of stuff during showers....and thought it might be good to pass on so you can check your products to ensure safety...

I saw that this morning! Those are some biggies and are things we have on hand. However, we have the generics which I think are clear. There will be lots of meds dumped across the country this week. I bet most folks have some of those.

So not a fan of pharma drugs, especially for infants and children. I did my homework and I am totally fine with letting fevers/colds run its course. However, I looooove Hylands Homeopathics. Provides relief while not messing with the natural course of things. Definately do your research mama's. I hear of so many recalls, its not worth it imo.

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I'm so disgusted with all these recalls; seems like every few months I have to throw out some expensive meds.

They actually say you can take it back for a refund to the retailer; contact the manufacturer (they have a link in the article) for a full refund; or wait till they "fix" their manufacturing problem and exchange.

If you cannot find the link, I will see if I can and post it in the original.

I had picked up some dye-free tylenol a couple weeks ago just to have on hand for the first 6 months, and of course it was recalled. I went to go buy some generic even with the crappy dye in it to have on hand, and two stores I've been too have been out of the generic. Never used it with DD2, but I like to have some on hand just in case a fever gets really high in a < 6 month old.

I feel sick to my stomach over this whole thing. I have relied on the dye-free tylenol throughout my now two year old son's infancy. What they cover in the media is never the whole story. I can't believe I may have been harming my son this whole time! You really can't trust anything you buy unless you know the manufacturers personally these days! And who does?

One more reason to go COMPLETELY natural. This baby that's coming (EDD May 10th) will NEVER recieve Tylenol if I can help it. So what if no one in the house can sleep when she has an illness of some sort! Who needs sanity when a baby's health and wellbeing are at stake?

This BS makes me crazy!!! You have to watch the entire world like a hawk in order to be a responsible parent these days.

I'm buying a farm and producing all my own food as soon as possible. . . . .
