Maybe a silly question about press cloth

Okay, so I'm making vest's for my boys for an upcoming wedding. The directions want me to use a press cloth to fuse the cloth and interfacing together.
can I use a cloth I have around my house or is this something I have to go buy? I really don't want to spend any more money on this project.
It's just one of those projects I wish would magically sew its self HA HA HA!
Anyhow, any ideas? please . . Thank You!

I just ignore the parts about press cloth. Just make sure the steem is off and your iron isnt too hot when ironing interfacing, so it doesnt shrink and make your fabric wrinkly.

You can use any old thing. An old sheet, a piece of muslin, a clean towel, etc. A press cloth is nothing special - it just prevents the iron from melting the interfacing too much.
