How soon can I expect morning sickness and a baby bump?

Hi ladies,

I found out 6 days ago that im pregnant with our third baby!
We are over the moon after 7 months of TTC. I had my bloods drawn today so its starting to feel real.

It has been 4 years since my last pregnancy began and I cant remember alot about the first few weeks of the pregnancy, so how soon does morning sickness normally start?

The other question I have is how quickly can I expect my belly to expand? I feel bloated already!

Also I have peed on about 10 thousand hpts, Is it normal to have a faint bfp at 10dpo compared with todays test at 16dpo which has the second line much darker than the control line? Does it mean twins?

Thanks for you help!!

Hey, Congratulations! I just found out I'm pregnant again about 45 minutes ago. I don't know a thing about the lines, I just know two lines means pregnant, heh. It's been a little over four years since we had our dd too, so I know how you feel. I'm wondering what it'll be like too!

The past week or so my stomach has definitely been bigger and since my period totally disappeared, I knew I must be pregnant. I can't believe my stomach could be "showing" already, but I do recall that my stomach was pretty big at just 2 and 3 months with dd. I've been really sleepy and tired lately too. My dh was joking about January babies this morning, because the baby will likely be born in Jan. Dd's due date was January 22, 2006, and she was actually born on that day (!), and my birthday is Jan. 26, and our wedding anniversary is Jan 30. So, just a little funny January thing going on with us.

My dd and I are up early this morning and I made her a bit of breakfast, and the smell made me feel sick. It's a total mindgame for me this morning! Hello, brain, just 'cause I know I'm pregnant for sure now, doesn't mean everything stinks all of a sudden. Anyway, that's all I've got to say for now. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Congratulations to you both!

This is my second pregnancy, and I think I'm of average build and fitness. I wasn't wearing maternity clothes until after 20 weeks--maybe 22?

And morning sickness just never arrived for me! With my first pregnancy, I was sick from weeks 5 - 13.

Good luck!

Thanks I forgot to mention that I was never really sick with the first pregnancy either. Not like friends have had. It was just a queasy thing that came every once in a while in the first couple months. Some peppermint tea and a saltine or two took care of it. Speaking of, I'd better pick some supplies up today. I'm a small-medium sized person and I can't remember when I started wearing maternity clothes, but I just wore my normal casual clothes for a long time, and they fit around my stomach fine. I remember that I got a great pair of maternity jeans from my stepmom and I started needing those at 7 months or so. This is all I can remember. What I do know that's different now is that I am awake! Like I'm older and self-aware and know what's going on, so I'm kind of scared out of my mind a bit. Heh. I was 23 when dd was born, and me and life are just different now. One day at a time. *breathes*

mumma cop kaz, sorry for the hijackification of your thread... I don't write online very often, but when I do I kind of go on and on... and you guys are the first people to know about my special morning besides dh and dd, hee. Thanks for letting me talk about this!

When I was pregnant with my 3rd, my 2nd was less than 4 months old. I never really changed my wardrobe, lol.

With #2 and #4, I think I was around 12 weeks when I gave in to maternity jeans, but I made a lot of use of sweat pants and yoga pants before that!

This time around, I'm thinking I'm going to have to announce my pregnancy to my sister pretty soon, in order to get my maternity clothes back. I'm in my 8th week and prepared to bust my "fat jeans" any time now!

Really depends on the pregnancy. My HPTs were very faint until 12dpo. My Beta at 10dpo was 10, and by 14dpo it was 150!

I am 6w1d and have not been able to button my pants since 4 1/2 weeks. Even pants 1 size up are starting to get snug. I started feeling sick even before implantation, 4dpo. After my last two pregnancies I am a total believer in the early pregnancy factor.

I was joking at 15 DPO that if my HPT was a OPK I would be ovulating because my result line was SO much darker than my control line.

We have not had an ultrasound yet to confirm that there is one, two, or a viable pregnancy (I am scared about a molar pregnancy # since my HCG is SO much higher than my last two pregnancies), so take all this with a grain of salt.

i'm pregnant with my 3rd and i was showing and looked a little bit pregnant by 7 or 8 weeks - looked obviously pregnant to strangers (enough that they were brave enough to ask my due date etc.) by 19 weeks that is also when i outgrew my normally baggy t-shirts etc.

the lines sound normal - much darker at 16 dpo than 10 is a good sign and doesn't really mean anything otherwise..

oh and morning sickness started around 5 weeks for me this time.. lasted til about 11 weeks.. with my other two it was 5 weeks to 16 weeks..

I had nausea off and on until around 8/9 weeks when it hit hardcore. Now at 21 weeks Im still getting sick

As for showing if you go into my profile you can see my belly pics and you can decide for yourself when I started showing lol... I know at 21 weeks its already quite obvious its baby in there and not just fluff.

Thanks for your responses, my belly isn't as bloated today so im feeling a bit better. I called my Obgyn today to book in and found out that he is on holidays on my due date! Argh, his female partner will deliver, but i remember seeing her once during last pregnancy and didnt love her.
I don't know what to do because I had a vbac last time with this obgyn and I really want another one, or at least the chance for another one. I just don't know if another obgyn would give the vbac a chance.
I wonder if I should start researching other obs.

I would research others, but also see this OB and tell her what you want and how important it is to you, and see how she responds. And you could go with it if you wanted, and you never know what might happen- your favorite ob could be there if you go early/late.. I hope you end up getting what you want. You are amazing!
