I have a bunch of teenage boys to get gifts for, but no clue what to make them. Any ideas? I am a beginner knitter and sewer. I'm also a Graphic Designer, if that helps.

Most people get calendars of the kids every year. I design them and then upload to whoever has them cheapest, and have them print the calendars.

We also do Secret Santa in my family between all the nieces/nephews and aunts/uncles. Makes it a lot less expensive and fun! Gift should be around the $30 mark. Also, both DH and I have to get one. If I can make something that would have approx. $30 value, that would be awesome.

So here is my list of who we need to get gifts for:

Mom- calendar, something else
Stepdad-
Sister-c alendar, something else
Grandparents- calendar
Young cousin (7 yo girl)-
Young cousin (3 yo boy)-
Secret Santa 1-
Secret Santa 2-
MIL- calendar
FIL- calendar, something else
Grandmother IL- calendar
Nephew (17)-
Nephew (13)-
Nephew (5)-

Any ideas? I was thinking maybe making a dress for 7 yo cousin, and a superhero cape for 3 yo cousin and 5 yo nephew.
How about stenciled tshirts for the teenagers?or tshirts and pj pants?

I just found this puzzle mat idea. I just wish I had someone to make it for, since it would be difficult to ship.

Such a great pairing!

Oooo and that might work for my husband's uncle. He injured his brain as a child so he's still like a kid. It's always a challenge to figure out presents for him.60 yrs of toys starts to pile up.Now I just have to find out if he brings his lunch to work.

NICE IDEA!

I really like those reusable snack bags a lot. I'm thinking some of those will need to be made with my scrap fabric!

I love the lunch bags made with oil cloth. I want to try making one for my kiddos. If they're easy to make, then I can make some for my nieces and nephews for the holidays. Thanks for the link.

Just finished holiday scarf number two! Started number three...

Just checking back in and boy have I missed some cute things over here...
Things have just been putzing along over here... and I'm embarassed to say I have NOTHING in my December stash...

But after seeing everything you ladies have made I want to learn to sew in 2011! Crochet, beading, scrapbook, I can have time to sew too LOL

Holiday scarf number three is done -- in three days! Yippee!

Onto number four...

(At home, I would never get this done so fast, but am visiting at my parents house and have some extra time to knit. Hoorah!)
