Tell me your beta hcg stories!

I have an ultrasound Friday, which feels like a lifetime away. I started comparing my HCG & Doubling rates to my last couple pregnancies and I am sorta getting worried about how high my betas are this time. I am worried about a molar pregnancy, or other problems.

My 10dpo hcg was 10, at 14dpo it was 150 (doubling time 23.55h) then again at 21 dpo it was 2761 (doubling time 39.98h). The average doubling time for <1200 hcg is 48-72 hours. For 1200-6000 is slows to 72-96 hours.

With my daughter my 17dpo HCG was 550, if it kept doubling at the same rate it would have been around 1800 by 21dpo. With my son it was 141 at 16dpo which would have been around 846 around 21dpo.

At 21dpo the mean HCG is 1061, betabase's mean is 1219. The betabase's mean for twins is 2500.

So if you have had a molar pregnancy, or twins, or a singleton with high betas... what were you numbers??? What are your predictions on what we will see on ultrasound on Friday?

To me, those look like great singleton numbers!!
Really, they look great. If you click on day 21 in Betabase you can see that your number falls into the most populous group - or the 'mode' if you want to get statistical , so you're in very good company.
The twin numbers I've seen tend to be much much higher (but not always).
For comparison, mine (singleton) were:
12dpo - 27
14dpo - 92
18dpo - 841
22dpo - 4339

I had low betas for my triplets (now 5 year old twins), it was 49 at 12dpo and 110 at 14dpo.

My highest betas were in my current pregnancy, it was 16 at 9dpo and then 155 at 11dpo, 600+ at 13dpo and there was (and is still) one happy healthy little bean in there.

I know its fun to guess and analyze, but really in all my pregnancies its all been so different and the u/s is the only way to know for sure. Good Luck!

That makes me feel so much better ladies! I had a dream last night I had B-G twins, but in reality this baby was such a surprise I would be much better equiped to handle just a singleton before closing down the shop. I think everyone is teasing me about twins because we were so done before this little one decided to come along, and we already have 4 and the teasing is starting to really take root as paranoia. Combine that with high betas, a 6 lb weight gain by 6 weeks, and none of my pants fitting at 5 weeks (and I swear I am starting to feel my uterus at my pelvic bone) and I am starting to get really worried.

Thank you so much for sharing your numbers, I am a lot less worried now, especially about a molar... I just want one healthy little baby in there!

You should also keep in mind that we usually stop testing after the second BHCG if things are doubling well and are above 100-150 so perhaps many of the people who enter results for later BHCGs had lower ones to begin with or the increase was not as great early on.

Anyway, your numbers are totally in the "perfectly normal" range.
