getting yeast out of diapers

ds is on the tail end of a nasty rash, that I just found out is yeast, likely. I didn't know anything about it, and now I hear that it could be stuck in his cloth diapers- I feel bad I kept using them, plus I also wash the covers, cloth wipes, burp rags and cloth breast pads, maybe a pair of ds1's training pants in with them too.. so is there yeast on everything now? What's the best way to get it out? I'm freaking out at the thought that I'm spreading it all over and if the rest of us will get infected..
from this point til I'm sure it's clear i'm using disposables, but not sure what to wipe with, if sposie wipes are too harsh. maybe paper towel with warm water?

I bleached our stuff after DD2 had a yeast rash. We had BG 3.0 and prefolds at the time. I ran a normal wash with bleach on the pfs, inserts and wipes and then a hot hot wash with a tiny bit of detergent and an extra rinse. I washed the BG outers on a regular wash with bleach then another wash with detergent and an extra rinse. Then I dried everything out in the sun. Seemed to get rid of it--there are some natural remedies out there but I just wanted to be really sure it was gone.

I would use your cloth wipes but just wash them with bleach and dry them in the sun if possible. They're just wipes so it won't destroy them and if it does you can get some more.

How about adding vinegar to the rinse? I normally do that with regular laundry anyway and I think it's supposed to neutralize yeast. Then I'd either dry everything in the sun as PP said or put them in the dryer on high (for things that can handle it).

We had persistent yeast rash that would not clear up until I went with all natural fiber diapers AND covers. I was using BG and FB before the switch and I did everything to try to get the yeast out: boiling, sunning, hot wash, bleaching, and washing with 300 drops grapefruit seed extract. Nothing worked. Then I switched to cotton/hemp diapers with a wool cover (and added an amazing probiotic to DD's diet) and we've been problem free ever since. Certainly not the cheapest option, but it was the only thing that worked for us. Check out www.vsl3.com for the probiotic.

this rash was definately a side effect of me taking antibiotics for a mastitis infection. ds is only 5 weeks old, so I'm not sure how I can give him probiotics other than me consuming them and it going through the breastmilk. For the moment, I'm drinking tons of Kefir.
As for the laundry, I picked up 7th Generation non-chlorine bleach, and figure I can put it in with all my laundry. Unfortunately I realized my machine won't let you combine liquid color-safe bleach with powdered detergent, which is what I have, but I guess I'll have to do several washes anyways after the bleach.

Tea Tree Oil in the first rinse/soak is a natural alternative. I've used it and it seems to work, but I'm not sure how to really tell if the yeast is gone.
