pediatrician around Norwich CT

Hello all! I'm new on here and I'm hoping someone can give me a good rec for a pediatrician in or around Norwich, CT. We are with Norwich Pediatrics right now and while I haven't had any major issues with them yet, I'll be getting on my husband's insurance in June and we'll have many more options for pediatricians so I'd like to find someone who is actual in line with my parenting style rather than merely passive about it. I also know many others who HAVE had problems with them so I'd rather not get to that point if I have the option to switch.

I'd like to find someone very pro-breastfeeding and supportive of attachment parenting who won't have a problem with the alternative/selective vax schedule we have our daughter on. We are also going to start baby-led solids at 6 or 7 months (when she's showing the signs of readiness obviously) and I'd like someone to be on board with that - no one who's going to tell me to start cereal at her 4-month appointment :\

If anyone has experience with a good pediatrician in the area I would love a recommendation! I'd like to start meeting with a few now so we can switch as soon as we switch insurance. Thanks everyone!

Also, I'm always open to finding new parenting groups or meeting up with mamas in the area!

hi
Im Amy.
Ive been w gales ferry ped since my oldest was born. I use a older doc and i just love him to death. i didnt vac my 4 yer old with anything till she was 6 months old. he was very understanding. there on rt 12. about 15 minutes from Norwich. i kind of was pushie and never let anyone let me what i was doing was wrong. i breastfed long term with both gurls. and i breastfed a tot w a newborn baby. you do see everyone when you go in for a sick vist. but i never got to much flak. and yeah ive heard weird things about that group ur with now. ild change as soon as you can. best to you!!!!

I love Gales Ferry too. Only issues we've had was a little bit of pushiness as far as vaxing is concerned, but in the end they've not given us anything to complain about. There are so many peds. there, also, that it makes it easy to switch if you don't particularly like the first one you meet. I highly recommend them!

I use Kendra Becker in Mystic and I absolutely LOVE her! I switched from Norwich pediatric, I was never very happy with them.
