Novanic, your chart says I don't have permission to view it.

CD 2 over here. Waiting on the results to come back from the lab after DP's date with the plastic cup.

Novanic. I can relate to the not sleeping well. I don't know if it's because I'm nervous I'll forget, but I frequently dream about temping and then I wake up super early. I don't have a very consistent sleep/wake schedule either, but my charts still show a shift...try not to stress. It's okay if you miss a day or two. You don't owe anything to the chart! It's there to help you!

Laggie--keep us posted!

Laggie - Thanks for letting me know. I changed the settings on my chart to public so it should be good to go now.
Blanca78 - Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who loses sleep over charting! I often have dreams about temping/forgetting to temp too!

Adorkable: No, no charting. No one has ever even suggested it and, at this point with the hcg and all that, I'm not starting this cycle. And, given my resolution to stay positive, I'm hoping I won't need to in the future.

Kinza: You sound a lot like me. Lots of menstrual problems, long-term BCP, went off in October of 2008, MF problems, no insurance coverage, and a disdain for asking your MIL for fertility money (mine said no, by the way). I can identify.

AFM, had my fourth ultrasound of the week today -- at 8 a.m. which, with the drive, means I was up at 6:30 and looking pretty rough. Plus, it was hooding last night (I'm a professor, hence the name), and I went to a couple of graduation parties and was out late. Not smart. Anyway, I finally have one that's 18 on the left, so I'm doing the hcg tomorrow night and the IUIs on Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. They put me on Estrace, and apparently my lining has thickened up pretty well already in just two days, despite the mess that junk is. So, I'm wondering something about DIUI for anyone who knows. My donor's count was 7mill last month both times. That seems low to me, although the RE said it was fine. Maybe that's normal for frozen donor sperm? He has reported pregnancies, but I'm certainly not opposing to choosing a new donor if I might be better off. But, again, I'm *hoping* that this is the last month. (Ah, how foolish that looks in print.)

It's nice there are people out there who understand this stuff, though I hate for anyone else to be struggling with conception.

Prof.alex--I think my MIL would be happy to finance our fertility (ick), but I really really don't want her to. I'm going to see a gyn and avoid mentioning fertility if I can, but see if they can figure out if something is wrong with me that could be leading to fertility problems. There just has to be something wrong with me.

You ladies all seem so knowledgeable. Thanks for letting me join in!

CD20 / 5DPO
tested today to see if the hcg trigger shot was out of my system, stark white so I'm good to go. Now I just have to get myself to wait!! Kinda wish the trigger shot would lounge around till 9-10 dpo so I would not have to control myself for all these days. Blah

headed to DC on Wed. that will be good. I can test every day on my own and will definately know before I come home on 15dpo. Since dh does not track the days really at all, I will have a few days to tell him in a cool way. I've been thinking of filling the bedroom with dozens of baby blue and pink ballons and just let him come home to them, hehehehehe

do you gals dream up ways to tell folks when the day comes?
Novanic, I can't see your chart but I would recommend that you only temp once and always use that first temp. Even if it only went up 0.3 today, if it keeps going up you may still get an O date of yesterday.

Hey, welcome to all our new soon-to-be mamas!

Adorkable- Have a great time in DC! I'm hoping it brings you lots of babydust and a really positively positive positive!

Newbian Mama- I hope your final went well! Congratulations on having it behind you. Let's see you are about 12-13 dpo now...any news? Lots of babydust!

Amanda Mom- Any news? Can you change your title to Mom Amanada now???

Kinza- My insurance doesn't cover infertility but if there is something wrong it will pay for treatment. I see an RE and it is covered as long as the billing code is for PCOS (which I have) and not for infertility (which I also have). So far that has worked really well. When I talk to the doctor I talk about treating my PCOS and I don't mention infertility. That way he isn't put in a compromising position and when we began I explained that my insurance won't pay for infertility but they will pay for PCOS treatment. That has bought me a whole year of monitored cycles. Just thought I'd mention it.

Laggie- I hoping good strong numbers with good morphology for you!

prof.alex- Good luck with the iuis! Here's hoping they result in a healthy and happy 9 months for you!

AFM- We leave in 2 days and the house is a wreck, we haven't packed, planned the trip, or copied any important papers. So, tomorrow when I have the afternoon free I'm going to go see BABIES! with my BFF. Cause that's how I roll. I'm thrilled. I have watched the previews probably a dozen times--too cute. Cycle wise I'm about CD14 I think. This not temping thing is great and strange. I expect to O next Friday which means lots of BDing in France. That should be interesting...I'm self conscious away from home because, well, let's just say dh says he likes to make me sing. I'm not anticipating many B&Bs to be sound proof. Oh, well, if I can subject myself to infertility treatment, certainly I can be quiet or at least not care if I'm not...right? I'm going to try to update my blog while I'm gone...I've heard with wifi and laptops that Europe no longer has little hole in the wall internet cafes...we shall see! I hope at the very least to come home to MANY MANY positive pregnancy tests from you wonderful ladies!

Hope y'all are having a marvelous weekend!

I've found that European hotels tend to have very flaky wifi, and there were still internet cafes the last time I was there (two years ago).

Hope you have a fabulous time!

Make sure you see if you can get a digital hpt in France... What's "positive" in French????!!!! That would be so fun to have
post #32 of 204
You crack me up, Jenne. That would be the most amazing thing ever if you conceived in France!

Adorkable--I'm so excited for you. I can't wait till you test.

Good luck all!

iheart - so glad to hear the soy is working for you! It must be great to not have to wait so long to O. That's the worst part, if you ask me! for you!!

Kinza - With a count of 12 million, it's certainly possible to get knocked up. I hope your long TTC journey comes to a happy end very soon!

Adorkable - Good luck with the self-control! I think the balloons is a great idea. I'm not sure how I will tell DP when the time comes. I don't think I could keep it a secret long enough for anything other than screaming and crying from the bathroom.

prof.alex - What sperm bank are you using? Mine, and I think most others, guarantee a 20 million post-thaw count. I use TSBC.

Novanic - Charting gets easier with time, I think. Soon it will be a natural part of your morning routine, and hopefully you won't lose more sleep over it!

Jenne - I really hope you have a fabulous time in France! I agree you should pick up a French digital HPT. I'm sure they include all kinds of baby dust in the package. Good luck!

AFM, Nice temp spike this morning, but I'm trying not to read into it. HA! I'm also trying to convince myself that, though I'm 10dpo, it's still too early to test, even if getting a positive on Mother's Day would be the best thing ever. That said...
Happy Mother's Day to all you future mamas! Hopefully next year at this time we will all be celebrating with a new baby.

Happy Mama's to Be Day to us all

Adorkable• - I love your idea with the balloons! I wonder how long it will take before it sets in. Since I'm solo, I plan to tell my mom by putting this on paper: the syringe + vial = digital pregnancy test. I think it's hilarious! Another option is to send a pic of the HPT to her digital picture frame and see how long it takes her to comprehend. I had a dream that I just blurted out the news to her which is probably how it will actually happen

Jenne - I can't believe your trip is here already!! You will have a wonderful time. Bring us back some French dust de bebe and a +HPT form you.

You have a great memory! I'm on 12dpo today and no news yet. My test day is Wednesday but I'll probably wait until next weekend. My final took all of 30 minutes. It took me more time to drive there and eat breakfast in the car than the actual final.

I really hope you can continue to update your blog. I love to read your writing I think if I see Babies I might drool for the whole 90 minutes! Not good.

AmandaMom - Oh, a temp spike! I have everything crossed for you. Do you have any pregnancy points on FF?

AFM - I'm 12dpo today and feeling good. I have 66 points on FF's PP scale. We'll see though. I also had two pink spots on the tp yesterday. No bleeding or spotting, just one small pink spot in the p.m. and another at about 3 a.m.

can I join this thread?

Im not 30 yet, but in a month and a bit I will be (July 1st)!

We're TTC number #2 now, just started last month.
Some background..
I was on Clomid and Metformin to conceive #1, worked the first round. Everyone was shocked, including our Dr, our odds were less than 10% (I was anovulatory and have an autoimmune disease). Ive heard that that this second time around I might not be anovulatory anymore.
My cycle didn't start until 16 months PP.. I stopped bf'ing at 15 months. I started taking chasteberry as soon as my cycle started. This time around im noticing some differences in my temps (which is a good sign) and I have had many many faint OPK lines... really really faint. We have an appointment in July with our DR, I would absolutely love to be pregnant before then!

So that's me..

Hi HeavensEarth, you are certainly welcome to hang out here but all of us on this thread are trying to conceive our first--there is another thread for trying to conceive #2 or more in your 30s--maybe you would find some more experiences in common with them over there? Either way, though, I'm rooting for you to get that BFP soon!
Okay- QUICK!- PM me if you want a digital pregnancy test from France! I'll need to have the "yes, I want one!" by tomorrow night. I'll be happy to mail them out once I am back home. Thanks for the great idea!

Passing on some more baby dust your way.

Remember those wild turkeys?

This weekend one of them came back. It turned out that it was a mama and she brought a whole bunch of little babies (about 10), following her around making little squeaks. It was really sweet.

I tried to take pictures, they are a little difficult to see as the babies are so little and blend in well with the terrain. I never got all of them in one shot.

Well ain't that something! Great pics, Somegirl, and thank you for the update. I knew those turkeys had to mean something. It was just too random not to. I'll take all the baby dust I can get. Hopefully we'll have an answer next week!!

If I get a BFP is it ok if I snag the first pic for my desktop wallpaper? I also would like to have a link from my blog to your turkey pics, with your permission and credit of course!
