Did I damage my newborn's hearing?

I am so freaked out I am ready to cry! My DH opened the slider downstairs and went outside setting the alarm off. Well, he did not hear it!
I had to run to the alarm with my 5 week old in my arms to turn it off. The sound was so loud and piercing! I am scared now that I damaged my baby's hearing It maybe lasted for only a minute, but it seemed like an eternity! Her one ear was pressed to my arm, but another ear was not. Do you think I damaged her hearing?

Oh mama, I'm sure she is fine. I know how piercing those alarms are, but it was for such a short time I would really doubt that any permanent damage could be done. To set your mind at east why don't you bring it up at her next well-baby visit (if you do them).

i'm sure she'll be fine my ds caden has had to put up with his sister caitlins ear piercing screaming since birth and his hearings not been effected
don't worry about being paranoid though thats mummies do best lol
