...for turning me on to a book by Yossi Halevi, At the Entrance to the Garden of Eden.

this is an extraordinary book about a Jew in Jerusalem searching for common ground with his C'ian and Muslim neighbors. the level of honesty shown by the author in discussing his own feelings about his own faith and people is remarkable. and the people he meets on this spiritual journey are equally remarkable.

highly highly recommened, and half-price at Powells.
