And we've weaned! 
She's been down to only once a day since shortly after William was born (9 months ago). The past two months I've been wishing we could drop the last nursing, but couldn't figure out how to do it with out breaking her heart. I needed to though. Although I didn't mind the nursing while she did it, it was causing problems at other times of the day.
Today, the "nursies" fixed it themselves. *giggle* She nursed this morning, as usual, and after 5-10 mins I asked her to stop because it hurt. She popped off and said, "But I never got any nursie!" I was rather surprised. After we cuddled for a while I told her that I thought the nursies had decided that she was old enough and didn't need nursie anymore. She was sad for a moment, but after I told her we could have special cuddles every morning, she seemed ok.
I'm so glad this opportunity came up today. It's been a great 4 years, but mama is ready to move on.
