Weekend Check-In
Name:
Mother Cake
Date:
15 May 2010
Where are you in your cycle: CD 20, 9dpo
Symptoms if they apply: mild nausea, low stamina, breast tenderness (sorry if TMI), hunger/cravings for dairy/salt.
When are you thinking of testing:
I'm going to try tomorrow, even though I'll probably get a negative.
Thoughts: Confused. How can I be having these types of symptoms this early in my cycle? (This is not normal pms for me.)
Appointments:
None
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc:
Started using an infusion from The Natural Pregnancy Book with RRL, nettle, Red clover, rosehips, oatstrawand alfalfa
Do you have any stress triggers: Confusion over early symptoms, worrying about another cycle like the last one where I think I'm having pg symptoms, but never get a pos, the start bleeding.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Trying to focus on other projects.
Partners feelings if applicable: He's supportive, but busy with his own stuff.
Plans for this weekend: Not much. Mostly chillin'

Checking Back-In (After March m/c)
Name: Babsbob
Date: May 16
Where are you in your cycle: Maybe 9 DPO
Symptoms if they apply: tired and cranky, but that's not unusual.
When are you thinking of testing: I really don't want to test unless I don't get AF this week.
Thoughts: Ambivilant. This is cycle #1 after m/c. I had a dream that we had conceived and the baby told me her name was Megan. That has never happened to me before but I don't know if it was prophetic or just hopeful. Especially since I don't really feel any symptoms like last time.
Appointments: None
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Just trying to exercise and eat healthy.
Do you have any stress triggers: I don't know.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Trying not to think about it too much.
Partners feelings if applicable: DH has been really great - he is willing to try and not too stressed about when it happens.

So sorry for your loss. I don't think I was yet when you were here before, but I still wanted to express my sympathy.

Hey people,

Im 15ddpo and no period, no spotting, barely a hint of pms.

I took a test yesterday in the afternoon (14dpo) after drinking tea, and it was negative.

I was convinced af would arrive today.

btw, i am never late with af. Never.

I walked past some sample chocolate in the store here, and felt disgusted by it (not pms, thats for sure, i love chocolate), dont want to drink coffee....

On the other hand, i took progesterone this cycle, so that could explain why my period is not coming. But....last cycle, i took even more, and af arrived a day early full force. This cycle, i am taking much less, and each day less and less. Last night, i took 60mg. (compared to 200mg the morning of af last month) I took it just in case i was pregnant, because a sudden drop in progesterone could trigger a miscarriage.

Anyway, i didnt test this morning, because i am sick of the sight of bfn's since i starting testing day9 (on internet cheapies). Ill just wait patiently for af. (unless it takes too long, then ill test :-) )

Also.. .took my temperature this morning, and it was higher than ive ever seen it post O. I slept well, and am not sick. That high temp took me by surprise.

What do you think? Pregnant, or not pregnant?

Maya

The progesterone could definitely be keeping AF away, in fact that is the exact reason why I take progesterone. The progesterone you took last cycle probably didnt have enough time to stop your period since you got AF the same day; the effect is not instantaneous.

Taking progesterone is really tough because you will feel pregnant. My doctor has me wait until 16 dpo and if there is still no positive test then stop taking the progesterone completely. I normally get my period within a couple of days after stopping.

What were you taking the progesterone for?
Actually, im taking it because my last cycle before ttc (the cycle before last) my luteal phase was on the short side, because of nursing. It may be back to normal now, since i o'd earlier, but i dont know for sure, and dont want to wait to find out.

I agree with you on the progesterone mimicking pregnancy. I hate that, because i cant read my body. There is one symptom, that tightness in the ovary feeling i have gotten when previously pregnant, which may not be from progesterone, but i suspect that it too may be. (do you know what i mean?)

I've never been pregnant before but I know what you mean about trying to guess whether symptoms are progesterone related or *fingers crossed* pregnancy. I am also taking it because of a short LP caused by a progesterone deficiency, it is very frustrating and often times confusing so to you! I would lose my mind if it were not for all of the wonderful ladies on this board to commiserate with.

I wouldn't step down the progesterone if you think you could be pregnant, because you may end up taking it for your whole pregnancy. Have you had your progesterone levels tested recently?

I would also like to be added. We are TTC #1 Cycle #1. My DH is away on business at the moment so I hope it has already happened but we are having fun trying! I am 26 and this is our first time actively trying. Thanks!

Stage 1 of Operation: TTC Lingerie was a success! Procured some new naughty nighties today. MoOnFiReGlOw, I'll bet your husband would be even more excited about the TTC sex if it were to include costumes.

Welcome, SWhite!

CD8 and still spotting. It's down to just slightly tinged CM, so hopefully this annoyance will be over soon and the fertile time festivities can begin!

Thank you Mother Cake.

I broke down yesterday morning and took an HPT. It was a BFN and since I really have no symptoms I tried to just accept the fact that I'm not pregnant this cycle. But then at the dentist's this afternoon, the hygienist's gloves smelled like cat litter and kind of made me queasy. I thought that was so weird!!! It never smelled like that before and they've been using the same gloves (I asked). So now I have that sliver of hope! I hate that. I don't want to see another BFN. I HATE the 2ww.
Yes, the TWW is no fun! I am going to have to reorganize all of my closets or something to keep myself busy. I am holding out until the 24th (10dpo) to test. Anyone else planning to test around then?
I'm out. No BFP, but pretty sure this was an early miscarriage b/c of all the symptoms. We're thinking about waiting a couple of months to try again. So I may go back to just lurking on this thread for a while. I need to get some other things in my life in order and find out if I have low progesterone. Feeling sad.

I hope the next test will be positive. How many DPO are you?

I'd be lucky to ovulate by the 24th. But good luck to you! And yay for super girl outfits.

Hopefully, you'll be one of those women who ends up pregnant while taking a break.

My temperatures are looowwww. Not sure if that means anything, but it makes my chart look like it belongs to ice lady. I don't feel any colder though. Isn't estrogen supposed to make temps low? And estrogen is good for creating fertile CM and all?

Oh, and I'm feeling little twinges here and there, so hopefully my ovaries are prepping to pop out an egg or two. Go, ovaries!

I think you right about the estrogen. I know that progesterone is heat inducing for estrogen does the opposite right? Fingers are crossed for you.

Mothercake I hope that you and DH have a relaxing break.
