I was only able to get my son to 1yo breastfeeding and now he is 13months, and at that age where the docs want you to give them whole milk as a transition. We are vegan and I would give him the milk, but I am really concerned (even with organic, etc.) about it and would really rather not. However, I know that the fat is the biggest concern, since they need it for brain development - so soy/rice milk aren't going to cut it (not that I want him to consume to much soy anyway). Since ideally he would be getting the fat from breast milk
does anyone have any ideas as to what we should do?
Thanks a ton for your ideas, in advance!

each day on average. He loves avocados, nuts, nut butters and we made smoothies with coconut milk (still do), so fats weren't an issue. Seems to be a-ok according to the pediatrician, whom he rarely sees except for wellbaby visits
Good luck!
