Following the discussion about dissatisfaction with the jobs that some of us have, I'd like to offer a new thread: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
it is actually a line from a commercial i saw the other day, where adults that looked like they were at work said 'when i grow up i want to be ... ' (insert something different from what they were doing).
but it really got me thinking...
so ill start.
when i grow up, i want to be a nutritionist. i want to help people eat in a way that will improve their lives. starting with myself

let's dream!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I want to be a librarian when I grow up. Surrounded by books and information, helping others to learn & research. I would love it!
. Sometimes doing what you love isn't what it's cracked up to be. I'm in my 30s and still don't have a "career" and no retirement savings or 104K to speak of either
. I've just had a series of 1-year contracts teaching or doing research and a very unstable income.
