S/O: What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?

Following the discussion about dissatisfaction with the jobs that some of us have, I'd like to offer a new thread: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
it is actually a line from a commercial i saw the other day, where adults that looked like they were at work said 'when i grow up i want to be ... ' (insert something different from what they were doing).
but it really got me thinking...
so ill start.
when i grow up, i want to be a nutritionist. i want to help people eat in a way that will improve their lives. starting with myself

great thread - we say this at our house all the time.. kids are always reminding us we should be grown up already Anyway, I want to be a librarian when I grow up. Surrounded by books and information, helping others to learn & research. I would love it!

I want to be an archaeologist when I grow up! Actually, I already am...just can't get anyone to hire me after 9 years of graduate education and 12 years experience . Sometimes doing what you love isn't what it's cracked up to be. I'm in my 30s and still don't have a "career" and no retirement savings or 104K to speak of either . I've just had a series of 1-year contracts teaching or doing research and a very unstable income.

Crossing my fingers that the interview I have next week goes well and they offer me a job!

When I grow up I'd like to be a fiction author. I'm working on it, but not all that hard.

I am currently in school so i can be a Registered Dietitian when i grow up. I hope to work with kids/teens. I should be finished with school in a year and a half, then an internship. Can't wait.
