Love name threads? Look at my boy names

So I've been through the baby book and made my list.

Looking at it, there are like 40 names on it but I can narrow it down (by some that I know my husband will veto, and ones I know that I don't really love) to these:

Cash
Dylan
Gray
Kennan
Noah
Nolan
Quinn
Reilly
Rylan
Simon
Teagan
Torrin
Wade

Thoughts? Ideas? Impressions?

The middle name will be McNally for my grandmother. Our last name starts with L and is two syllables.

Dylan is on both my boy and girl list. I also LOVE Gray and like Noah quite a bit, too, but it's very popular right now (it's still on my list though).

Teagan just reminds me of Tegan and Sara.

We're probably going to name our baby Simon, so I obviously like that one!

I also like Teagan and Quinn a lot.

I like Cash the least.

Good luck!

The names that end in 'n' are really nice with the middle name, imo, and with a two syllable last name, I think that a one-syllable name is really, really nice.

Quinn McNally L-- --- is such a powerful sounding name- not power like capitalist , just as in self assuredness- someone who stands tall.

I also like Simon and Kennan with the second name and third initial.

Great middle name! I like Gray, Noah, Quinn, Simon, and Wade.

Reilly McNally sounds funny to me, in a bad way. Rylan McNally is kind of a tongue twister, I think. Teagan is a girl's name to me. I like Cash, Reilly and Torrin the least.

Cash - I like it, and we considered it briefly - but I think a lot of other people don't care for it.
Dylan - Like it okay, but it's still fairly popular, if that matters.
Gray - Like it - Grayson is cute, too.
Kennan - Not a fan.
Noah - Love it, but it's super popular - more girls are being named it as well, if that makes a difference to you.
Nolan - I really like it.
Quinn - It's okay.
Reilly - not a fan.
Rylan - Like it a lot, but think everyone will say, "Ryan?"
Simon - Like it - but it's also popular in some areas, we know several
Teagan - This, to me, is a girls name (which I love).
Torrin - no
Wade - no, no

Yay! Boy names!

Cash- Feels very Johnny Cash to me. Can't shake it.
Dylan- Great meaning, but feels like a 90s name. Still...classic.
Gray- Would prefer Grey, so as not to be misspelled as "Gary." I like Greyson better, with the nickname Grey.
Kennan- Don't really care for this one. Sounds a little made up, though I'm sure it isn't.
Noah- too popular right now. I run into multiple Noahs a week.
Nolan- Classic. Like it a lot.
Quinn- Also classic, but starting to be a popular girls' name.
Reilly- Also a very popular girls' name (most of the Rileys/Reillys I know are female, and I run into them pretty frequently in playgroups)
Rylan- I like this one a lot!
Simon- Classic, known, and not too common. Great!
Teagan- Good, but in the "Aidan/Keegan/etc." line that is so popular right now.
Torrin- Nice. Also a -yn ending, but good, solid name. Has a cool sound.
Wade- Not a favorite, but can't think of why.

Love the middle name!!

Cash (meh)
Dylan (too common)
Gray (love! but Grayson also)
Kennan (kinda like Keenan? Everyone will call him Ken)
Noah (too common)
Nolan (nice)
Quinn (love!)
Reilly (kinda common and kinda kiddy, not sure it would suit a man)
Rylan (nicer than Reilly, pretty cool and nickname could be Reilly)
Simon (love!)
Teagan (nice but I thought it was used more as a girl's name)
Torrin (meh)
Wade (not loving it...)

I hope you don't mind my honesty. There are some good names here!

Yeah, I'm thinking I may cross off Reilly, Quinn, and Teagan because I don't want anything too androgynous. I've never known a girl Reilly, had no idea it was used that way, rotfl. But then again I'm pretty clueless when it comes to what names are being used (check my sig-- I thought NO ONE used the name I gave my daughter, then it turns out to be insanely popular).

*saying it out loud* You know, you're right.

Really? Wow, I had no idea. Hmmm.

I have a name that "goes both ways" and it's always irritated me, so I'm trying to avoid that.

That's why my husband likes it, haha.

Hmm, I do like the "e" spelling better now that you mention it.

I think the name book said it was Irish. I knew a guy once with this name and always liked the sound. It's pronounced mostly like it's spelled, "Ken-nin" not "Kee-nin."

Torrin- Nice. Also a -yn ending, but good, solid name. Has a cool sound.
Another obscure Irish one. (I'm of Irish descent so I like the idea of having Irish names). It's weird but I keep coming back to it and saying it in my head.

I didn't think of that, hmm.

Ha, not at all, I need some honest opinion on how the names appear to other people.

Good list! My favorites out of those are Cash, Dylan, Noah, and Rylan.
Rylan is awesome... but Im marrying a Ryan lol and yes it very very much makes me think of him.

Quinns good but sort of getting popular-ish

Really really like Torrin... but it does sort of make me think of Taurine... which isnt a positive association.
Nolan and Simon and Wade are my favorites.

Gray is a girl's name. I have met several of them.

Cash is a good middle name. Not a good first name.

You've got a great list! Several names we have considered. Of your list Noah was my fav and our son, Isaac, was almost Noah, but it was so popular we decided against it at the last moment. I LOVE Quinn but my college roommates last name was Quinn and we always called her Quinn, I couldn't shake it as a name for my child. Dylan has been on our short-list for boys and girls, but does feel dated to me, which has kept me from using it. Of the non-androgynous names, I like Simon the best. Good list!

I like Nolan the best from your list.
My favorites from your list are Gray, Noah, Quinn, and Simon.

While I know one female Gray/Grey (and apparently there was a movie character by the name, also female?), I really like it for a boy. Grayson/Greyson is a good choice, too.

Noah is very classic. I haven't heard too many Noahs - I think I know two, in total, and they're not all that young anymore. BUT, I don't know that I like it with the MN.

Quinn is making the move to a girl's name, but it IS a boy's name, and I like keeping boy's names for boys. :P Besides, it's a very cool name. I don't think anyone could say it's not entirely appropriate.

Simon is a funny one. I'm not really sure why it appeals, and it doesn't always, but I think it goes pretty well with the middle name.
I think Quinn and Noah are really popular right now.
Cash and Wade rub me the wrong way.. one because of Johnny Cash, the other because there is a serial killer (pretty famous/infamous?) named Josh Wade that has been in the news a lot lately here.. and that's just icky to me.. (often referred to as JUST Wade)..

The one I like best in your list- Gray.
I like Simon too. Haven't had a student named Simon yet, (and I have had about 2000 students so far- that is always my indicator system).. and definitely not a girl's name.
Cash - sounds trendy
Dylan - VERY common for boys and girls
Gray - like it, I also know a little Graydon, which I like
Kennan - people will be confused by it
Noah - common
Nolan - OK
Quinn - LOVE IT!
Reilly - don't like it with your middle name
Rylan - ditto
Simon - like it
Teagan - more of a girl's name these days?
Torrin - confusing again
Wade - like it

I agree with the PP that Quinn has a really nice ring!
I really like the name Quinn.
Cash- don't like, makes me think of Johnny Cash and the a dollar bill
Dylan- Great!
Gray- Like a lot!
Kennan- dislike, not sure how to pronounce it.
Noah- Love!
Nolan- Like, I know the cutest little 2-year-old Nolan
Quinn- I like it but I have this weird thing that I find it only acceptable on the fifth child (I admit I'm weird )
Reilly- Like, but be aware that Riley (and a whole lot of other spellings) is a popular girl name. I also only like the Riley spelling.
Rylan- dislike
Simon- LOVE LOVE LOVE! My 3-year-old is Simon
Teagan- Like it a lot
Torrin- dislike
Wade- dislike

I like Cash, Nolan and Simon! I also like Noah and Dylan but for my taste they are too common (maybe Simon is too?). I love Rylan but that's because I have one Reilly and Teagan are too girly for me. We have a cousin named Teagan thats a girl and like the pp, Reilly is too close to Riley which I makes me think girl.
