Paying off debt WOOT

Thanks to the homebuyer tax credit and taxes this year (not to mention unexpected additional income), we have paid off $9000 extra dollars on our credit card! We only have $700 more to pay off, and then student loans (mortgage I won't worry about for now, lol!). This is such a big deal for us. We have been sooo broke for so long and had to live off the credit card after multiple long distance moves.

I wish I could keep some of that money for a vacation, but this is good, too!

I just figured you guys on here would understand how important this was.

Ohhh, YES!!! That sounds so awesome.

How long do you estimate that last $700 to take you, before you move on to student loans? You're so close...

We may be able to pay it off next month. We have a midwife to pay within the next few months, so I have to take that into account. Then we have one $500 student loan and about $15k or so in federal student loans to tackle. We have family to pay back, so we will be paying that monthly when we can, too. Just odds and ends from borrowing from the in-laws.

That's awesome! It must be such a relief to have such a big chunk of debt GONE!
