After Mirena IUD

I had my IUD in for 10 months after LO was born. I just had it taken out and have AF has been in town for over a week now which is totally not normal for me. I had AF the week before I had it out and now again. Anyone else have this happen after the IUD was taken out?

Yes, it happened to me. I think the removal irritated or otherwise stimulated the shedding of the lining for me anyway. I had a very heavy and very long period after removal, which was a bit of a shock as the IUD had basically removed almost my entire period. Having them back again is so strange.

It took me about 2 cycles to fully regulate.

Yup. I just went through this - LMP was 3/24, had Mirena out 4/6 and on 4/8 (Thursday) started bleeding. Finally, after an ER visit on Thursday (gush gush gush) and being seen on Friday I was given Premarin, which stopped it pretty quickly. Not fun!
