Any experience with the yayita baby hammock? Or know of anything similar?

I hope I'm posting this in the right place! I'm due in a couple of months with my first babe, and am very interested in using a hammock as a sleep solution for naps (and possible occasional nighttime use, depending on how we all take to cosleeping!).

There is one hammock that really appeals to me because it's made from organic cotton, has a compact wooden base, is relatively affordable, can be used up to 44 pounds, and looks super comfy. Here's the link:

I'm having a hard time finding ANY online reviews of this hammock! It appears to be a "La Siesta Yayita Baby Hammock." I've seen that there was a recall on the product a couple of years ago, and that they are now selling a version with some improved safety features to prevent tipping/strangulation.

So, experienced moms, have any of you used this hammock? Did you love it? Hate it? Can you recommend any similar product that you really loved? Please do keep in mind that I'm looking for something with a compact/easily movable stand (ceiling mounting is not an option for us), and I'd love to use this hammock as a special chair for our babe as it grows into toddlerhood!

I think it is super cute! The only negative I see about it is the straps have to be used, especially when your babe becomes mobile. My DD for instance is 16lbs and 8.5 months and would climb out of that in a second (without the harness). Maybe others feel differently, but for me it is extremly difficult to transport a seeping baby into something with straps without waking them up. We bought the Amby hammock for DD and she did love it for a while, but that one has higher sides all the way around so there is no need for a harness. The Amby is pricer though, larger and not as cute IMO.
I think it is a beautiful option especially if you are planning on co-sleeping and this is kind of a back-up plan and more of a for fun toddler option, but you may want to think about a side-car type sleeper or pack & play as well.

Thanks for your reply! Those are really good thoughts. I was definitely wondering how an option like this would work out once baby becomes mobile. This hammock does "squish" in on the sides (where the two points of the hammock attach to the wooden bar), so you can at least make it more cozy and less open... I don't know that that would help any with the baby mobility issue, though. The straps definitely seem like a big downside - but the other hammock options with stands just seem so bulky and (eesh, I hate to say this) ugly
Well, it sounds like this might be a good naptime option to start out with for our newborn, at least... And it would pack away pretty easily for storage if I needed to replace it with some sort of co-sleeper once the baby becomes mobile. That doesn't sound so bad...
