Eating solids -- what to look for?

Almost 10 month old dd has been on solids for a bit more than a month now and she is loving it. She wants to eat everything and keeps on pointing at our food, so we are eager to add more things to her "safe" food list. What subtle signs should I be looking for to know if she is allergic to a new food? It used to be simpler when she was purely breastfed in that I can pretty much tell by the colour or texture of her poop and if she get bumps on her skin. But her poop is now solid and different in colour because of whatever food she might be eating, so what do I look for now?

The things to look for besides an obvious immediate reaction like hives are eczema, night waking, gassiness, diaper rash, or really just anything that is out of the ordinary for your child.

what about the colour and texture of her poop, does that tell me anything? Like really dark poop or poop that falls apart once it hits the water.

Sorry I can't help you there. I don't know much about poop
