OK, We need friends(older) in the N.valley phx

I think the title says it all.

DS is 9 and we need some friends. We live in n.phx and it seems like slim pickings for friends. DS is NOT athletic, homeschooled and really a great kid.

We aren't as crunchy as some but not mainstream by any means.

This is going to be a LONG summer. I cant find work, DS has camps for June but after that we are going to literally explode. Don't get me started on the slashing of library hours(that is where we would go and hide).

DS loves Nascar, reading, math, the waterpark( wet n wild) legos and crafts.

Please tell me there are other kids out there!!!

Have you looked at meetup.com?? It looks like there is a N.E. Valley moms group that might work out for you.

We're moving to that area in a few weeks, but I only have a one year old daughter--probably not what your son was hoping for in a friend. I'm hoping once we get up there to find some similar people. Like you, we're somewhat crunchy but not as much as some people are. Maybe I'll try that site as well. Good luck!

My girls are 7 and 5. We have season tickets to Wet N Wild. I would love to have someone to go on the rides with the 7 yr old since the little one is not 48" yet. They finish school this week and I am done June 2nd with work. My husband is off on Mondays so we hope to go to the water park then. We will be around until June 21 and then again the last week in July until school starts the 2nd week in August. There is a N Phx AP group on Yahoo you might like.
