Haircuts?

My DS is also 13 months and is currently in need of his THIRD haircut (the boy was born with a massive amount of hair!). The last time we cut it--around the holidays--it took four of us. My brother is a hair stylist so he did the cutting (using a hair cutting razor, which apparently is less dangerous than scissors). I held DS in my lap, we gave him something to hold in each hand, and my mom and DH would try to distract him. It wasn't easy (or quick), but we were able to get it done and it looked very cute! We'll be going to see my brother again next weekend so we will be trying it all again.

I would suggest getting several people to help, trying to keep him distracted, and maybe doing it in several sessions. Good luck!

We took my son after his one-year birthday to one of those kiddie places. He hated it, and the woman was so not kid-friendly. My mom is a hairdresser, so when we went up to visit her, DH distracted him, while she quickly cut. He sat in his booster and played with things he was not supposed to have, like a cell phone, keys..all the fun things

Yep, that's how I do it, or he screams his head off.
