for those of you with di/di identical twins

I am doing a servey on this question because I have read that di/di twins can cause BFN on hpt though you are pregnant and I am wondering how often this happens...
I know that a lot of women don't know if they're di/di twins are identical or not but for those of you that do know, well, even those of you that don't know...
did you ever have false BFP's (BFN though you were pregnant)??
and what dpo did you get your BFP, if you remember??
thanks for your help!!

I don't understand how you can have a FALSE positive when you're in fact pregnant with any type of gestation?? Does not compute?

Mine were Di/Di frats, got my (true?) BFP 12 days past IUI.

I'm not sure how this happens either.. but this is just a peice of the info I copied..

"heterogeneous molecules of hCG 2,3,4 were produced from two placentas, and which failed to produce immunoreactivity with the pregnancy kit."

thanks for your reply hope to hear lots more.

well i know when your HCG is really high sometimes it can confuse a traditional POAS test and make it read negative. So if you have high hcg from twins I could see that being as true.

I got a glaring BFP at 8DPO with my di/di twins

My HPT was a BFP and I took it twice a few days after I missed my period. Expecting identical boys in 8 weeks

I had BFNs at 10 and 11 DPO, and then BFP at 12.

ETA: I also had a beta HCG at 12 DPO (after I got the BFP my doctor called me in for bloodwork to confirm). It came back at 59.
