Carmex on Couch- Help!

My ds got carmex (lip treatment that is oil based) all over our upholstered couch, the stains are huge and obvious. I haven't done anything for fear of setting the stain. The couch is cotton, not a slip cover so I can't put in washer.
TIA for any ideas!

My guess would be to use a dish soap or something like Dr. Bronner's. Something that is made to cut grease. I got Filet O Fish (blech) sauce out of dh's pants with Dr. Bronner's. It too a few tries and a whole bunch of scrubbing but it worked. Good luck!

orange oil. there are several orange type cleaners with the orange oil in it...they smell good, are natural for the most part and cut grease wonderfully!!!

Tried a mixture of Dr. Bronners and Washout (a laundry stain product from the Clean Team that I love) that did nothing for the stains and left a pretty significant chalky ring which I have wet towel blotted off. Stain is still there looking good!

The home depot product sounds interesting, I'll try and get some.

This is the pre children paid too much couch that now has to last till they go to college!
Thanks for your ideas!

Crud cutter is Fabulous although NOt a natural product but it removed nail polish from my carpet and bright red lipstick from my carpent as well. Old grape Juice stain. It removes oil or grease stains from clothing.

When we moved to our new house i diluted it in a bottle and sprayed the yellow smoke covered wallpaper WOOO HOOO like new!!!. I use it on real tough laundry stains as well

hope it helps.

Krud Kutter is awesome!
The stain is gone!
I also used it to remove dried paint on the playroom couch, grout stains in the shower and "scuff" marks from the vacum on the baseboards!
I am not crazy about using a non natural product but sometimes desperation sets in
Thanks for all the ideas!
