Birthday Party - Fairies - Page 2

I love all these ideas--my girls want a fairy party this year too, but I do have a little more time to plan :-D.

The fairy house idea does not have to be complicated AT ALL. The girls just build them in the yard with whatever they can find. I'm a big fan of low maintenance (which is code for lazy -for me--, but don't tell anyone :-)) There's a series of books called Fairy Houses--you could have a little story hour with one of them & send the girls off to build.

Those no-sew tutus someone mentioned are super easy & would be inexpensive favors.

Turning 4 is such a great age--they'll love whatever you do--just do it with panache and enthusiasm! HAVE FUN!

You can also make fairies with a wooden clothespin (they have them at craft stores here) and a coffee filter, and decorate the coffee filter with drops of colored water, and the top of the clothespin like a head (also works for butterflies). You fan-fold the coffee filter and stick it into the pin in the middle to make wings. You could make them as a craft or ahead of time easily and hide them around the yard or the house, and have the girls find them!

I keep expecting DD to want a fairy birthday party, so I've thought up all these ideas, mostly mentioned here (tiny versions of food, wings, etc) and never get to use them.
