If it's positive again, maybe I should wait a few weeks before going back?

The positive came up very quickly this morning. And in the past 1.5 years of trying, I've only had one, verrrry faint positive (I'm guessing chemical pregnancy) and then rest have been clear as day negatives.
unless you have immediate medical reason to be seen (such as needing to confirm it is not ectopic, but without severe cramping/sudden bleeding I wouldnt worry too much about that) you can wait until you are 8... or even 12 weeks before being seen by a medical practitioner! Really all the first appointments are for are to help you feel better (which is why I suggest waiting until 6 weeks if everything is healthy... before then theres nothing that can be done to even confirm its a healthy pregnancy, after 6 weeks an ultrasound will start to be able to show heartbeat and by 12 weeks most women can find babys heartbeat by doppler... though not all)

Of course, if you are going with a midwife or a doctor that only take on a certain number of women per month I would suggest you do call and set up a confirmation with them within the next week just to ensure your spot.

Good luck and congrats again! Im so glad to see you graduating from here

That was definitely not an evap in that picture so I wouldn't fret and would pee again on another home test for sure! Heck, I would pee on a bunch just to see that line after trying for so long...you deserve it!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I just POAS and got a BFP

Check it out, man! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0851.jpg
(these things are hard to photograph clearly!)

So I guess I can consider myself pregnant! I'm trying not to get overly excited yet, but....

ETA: The lines came up so quickly, and the second line is darker than it was yesterday!

YEAH Congrats!! And definately go by what the EPT says I went into my doctor two day after missed AF for my DD and they said I was not pregnant but I had two sticks to prove it. They did a blood test and it said positive.

If I remember correctly on the due date it would 40 weeks from conception. so the end January I think???? Do not quote me. But I also think there is a way to get FF to tell you also. Congrats again!

OOPPPS I was wrong. It is 38 weeks from your last O. When I got prego last time I was not having regular AF so my doc took the day I concieved and added 38 weeks. So it would be typically 40 weeks from your AF. Sorry im rusty

Thanks!

I found an online due-date calculator, and based on my most likely date of O, I'd be due Sunday, January 16 2011. If I go according my LMP, it's just a few days sooner.

just adjust your LMP to 14 days before your O if your doctor isnt the type to believe you know when you O.

I just found a small stash of internet cheapies, and peed on one to reassure myself. Positive. I'm having a hard time believing this is true... I'm spotting a tiny bit, but DH and I DTD last night, and I sometimes spot afterwards so that's probably why. I'm very nervous, but trying to relax and think positive thoughts

It takes a while for the idea to "sink in" . For me, it got much more real when the thowing up started .

Congratulations! It still doesn't feel real for me yet, either, although finally being able to tell my fiancé helped a ton.

Happy (belated) Mother's Day!

Congratulations! What a wonderful mother's day. I love ovenmakesbun. Wishing you an utterly boring, uneventful pregnancy and lots and lots of fun. Don't forget to take lots of pictures of your beautiful emerging pregnant self.

Oh and I spotted after DTD immediately after becoming pregnant, too. Everything was fine.

Oh how I miss the excitement of finding out I was pregnant.
