I just bought a bottle of soy isflavones to help bring o sooner than cd21. I have no idea how much to take. I thought I read 120 - 200 mg, this bottle is 2250 mg or 2.25 g per 3 capsules (3 is the reccomended dose) any advice?

i took them this cycle and they worked!! i started cd 3 at 160 mg for 2 days, i jumped up to 200 mg for 2 more days and last day i took 250 mg.

my o day jumped from cd 17-21 to cd 13-14!!

I took 160 mg each evening cd 3-7 for each of my BFPs. It moved my o date up by 3-4 days the first time I took it and I got my first every BFP after almost a year of trying. My current pregnancy came on my third pp cycle, my second one with soy. It didn't change my O date this time but I conceived despite a 6 day LP so it might have helped in some other way to make it a sticky month.

Check your bottle closely - the recommended dose is 160-200 mg of soy isoflavones. So be sure you're looking at the quantity of isoflavones only not the total weight of the capsule, which likely has other ingredients.

Good luck!

Don't remember the dose but just wanted to add some encouragement. I have PCOS and I got pregnant with my 3rd child on my first cycle of using them!

Google soy isoflavones and ttc and you can get a pretty good idea. I have pcos also. It is supposed to be the natural equal to clomid. I have read mixed things on it. You take it like clomid, cd 3-7 or 5-9. This will be my first cycle taking it so I will update on my "progress" or lack of! My last cycle I didn't O until cd 21. I have longer cycles and I am getting impatient. The soy is supposed to speed things up a little, and as a bonus I have read it makes you have more ewcm. You can get it at the grocery store. Just make sure you find out the mg before you buy it. I bought one too high from a vitamin store. There are different doses women take, I actually found this varies a lot. I am taking what I am comfortable with. Do some research first. I found it very interesting. Good luck!

If you O sooner, will your luteal phase then become longer?

Interesting, because i O'd much sooner in my last cycle, and have also been drinking soy milk exclusively in place of cows milk for the last 2 months.

Would that be enough to make a difference?

I have had a few days of AF then dry spells so I am not sure when my cycle is?? I guess I will wait until I have another AF and buy they stuff. Here is my chart to fill you in.

I would do a 5 day dose of it now and hopefully it will jumpstart your cycle.

And to the other poster, no I don't think drinking soy milk will do the same thing.

Thanks I was just at walmart and they do sell that soy stuff and its only like 6 bucks for 40 mg so how many would i take each day? I did not buy it yet because I thought I should wait but I may go back tomorrow and get if FF does not say I Oed today.

I took 100mg of Soy, cd 3-7 (I responded quite easily to 50 mg of Clomid, so stayed with a low dosage).

My last cycle was 10 weeks. Based on my chart, I ovulated on cd15! If that's true, I am 11 dpo. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/19b8de

But some things this week have made me doubt. But I am hoping.

ZoeJane'sMommy you certainly have a confusing chart!

Afm, I have taken it for 2 nights now and no side effects. I'm gonna bump up the dose tonight. Af is almost gone & I am excited to see how my cycle progresses.

Thats AWESOME I was going to start it last night but thought I already O'ed but I didn't so I am going to start it tonight with just 80mg and then next cycle I will try 120mg....................I think what do you guys recommend?
Thanks ladies!

Also, here is some additional info so you know how well this worked:

I got pregnant before on:

50mg of Clomid (m/c at 10 weeks)
Follistim/Lupron/Ovidrel (adorable impish 18 month old little girl)

I was anovulatory before treatment.

My last three cycles have been:
5-6 weeks
7 weeks
10 weeks

I took the Soy and ovulated somewhere between cd15 and 17! And you can see the results above!

Let's hope it sticks and good luck with the soy! I'd advocate for anyone to give it a try.

I don't have any recommendation on dosages, but I'd lean towards being more cautious as some places online I have read that taking too much can delay ovulation or even keep you from ovulating.

My cycles are normally long also but for the past three years i had a mirena(so maybe two cycles a year) and then the first two of that three years I was BFing. I am now on CD17 and FF does not show a definate O day so do you think I should go ahead and start now. I chickened out last night because it said do not take this if you are pregnant or BFing. Here is my Chart. I also posted this in my TTC inour 20's thread. THanks for all the help and support and Congrats to ya!!
