My supply and his demand are out of sync! Help!

My supply in general seems to be just enough for DS, 10 1/2 weeks old. But we run into problems some days because:
1. During the night when my milk supply is very abundant, he often wakes up and nurses only a little bit before falling back to sleep.
2. During the later afternoon when my milk supply is sometimes very low, he seems super hungry and often wants to cluster feed.

I've had some success if I pump at least once during the night, which I think helps increase my supply for the coming day. But who wants to get out of bed and pump in the middle of the night??? Any other possible solutions? I've also had some luck with More Milk Plus tincture, but it's not consistent and I'm wary of taking the full dose every day, for fear it will stop working completely when I really need it as my work schedule increases.

I think pumping in the night, any more than just a little bit to relieve engorgement if you're really uncomfortable, will just send the signal to your body to produce more milk at night.

Cluster feeding is something lots of babies just do, and I don't think it really reflects a supply problem. I would just nurse him the way he seems to want to be nursed and your body will figure it out.
