Asher is a fantastic name. If I had a different last name (one that didn't rhyme with Asher), my DS would have been an Asher.

Oh, and I'm totally booting loveneverfails off the island. For good. No takey-backsies. I bet she's giving Mercy her very first talking-to right now.

ITA, LNF has to have had her baby by now. It's 3.30pm and nary a peep from her; that is unheard of!

I am off the island, and into the NICU. We had an absolute labor from hell coming in at 30 minutes of active labor followed by 15 minutes of trying and failing not to push. We then had an emergency transfer by ambulance due to Mercy not breathing. She is on a ventilator, we do not think there is neurological damage, but this was just an extremely violent, horrible labor on the severity scale where I was scared we were abrupting.

We're in NICU for at least 5 days, counting today. Prayers appreciated.

Loveneverfails..... Your awesome sense of humor and totally rad thread titles have had me lurking on this thread for a few weeks now. You women have been like my own little soap opera, and I have been rooting silently for each and every one of you.

But especially you, LNF. Just because you seem like such a cool person with a sense of humor after my own heart.

I am so sorry to hear about little Mercy's traumatic entry into the world, and I will be thinking nothing but good thoughts for your entire family tonight. Remember your username. Love Never Fails, and it will not fail your daughter.

just wanted to add... my doula & MW said that it was a good thing my labor and pushing was so short because she had the cord wrapped around her neck 2x - they said sh emay not have tolerated a long labor well & that gave me peace about its intensity,

maybe this fast birth was your body's way of protecting mercy too?
