Ow the teeth!

How can I help DD (22 mos.) adjust her latch? She isn't biting down on my nipple but when we are done nursing there are marks from her top teeth. Needless to say that is pretty uncomfortable! She is opening wide and I am not sure what else to do. Thanks!

Almost every time dd latches (17 months) - especially when this (*^$ thrush keeps coming back - I say "big big big - no teeth". She has just recently started repeating me and it has really made a big difference. Also, if she isn't on right I say "try again" and then tell her "thank you much better" when she does it right. It has been like this for quite a while but she definitely gets the concept so you just have to keep working on it and saying the same key phrases.
