Can GF have an almost immediate effect?

So, DS2 has always been our "sickly" child. But big, and happy and nothing terribly obvious so we've been following the advice of a pulmonary specialist to see if he "grows out" of the constant colds, coughing, snotty, slow to heal, rashy immune problems. Auto-immune diseases run in both mine and DPs family.

Anyway, I finally decided to try GF for him. We have tried DF with no real effect. Within 24 hours he was completely clear for the first time in months.

Is it possible for it to have such an immediate effect? Coincidence? He is still nursing, and I have not gone completely GF, but am planning to as soon as we eat through the bread we have.

As an adult, I felt distinctly better after 1.5 days of gfcf. Some people take a few months, or need to make other dietary changes in addition, but sometimes it's fast.

Yes. When we finally took the plunge, my dd started pooping on her own almost immediately (her big, big issue was severe constipation).
