Brown spots on shins, signal some nutritional deficiency?

I just noticed ds has some brown spotting on his shins, like bruises but obviously not, they are superficial. I've been trying to figure out some gut issues with him so I thought maybe these two things might be related.

I sometimes get bruises very easily, DS too, and they don't look as significant as a regular bruise because, well, they happened from a small, unnoticed impact. Mostly just small circles. For us, it's a vitamin K thing, I supplement quite a bit of K2 for us because we've got an odd quirk in the family, but vit C could be involved for some people.
