where to put the semi-mobile LO when I'm in the shower? - Page 2

My DS was never happy away from me in a contraption of any kind for longer than, say... 3 minutes? I started taking baths with him around the age he could sit up, and then started bringing him into the shower with me shortly thereafter. He loved it! And still does. He just plays with toys while I shower.

What I ended up doing was just combining my shower with DS's bath time. I set his tub in the big tub - away from the shower end. He sits in his tub & plays while I shower & I wash him near the end of my shower. (Actually, I don't wash him everyday, some days he just plays.) I was worried about the spray from the shower, but I just keep it directed away from him & everything is fine. Luckily for me, he really likes bath time & doesn't mind being wet. I just have to keep rotating the toys so he has new ones often - to keep him interested!
that's exactly what I did for DD1. i plan the same for dd2. only downside is dd1 likes to take long hot showers like her mom

I usually take DD in with me, but if she's in a play time sort of mood I also opt to put her in the pack n play in our room. I have the pack n play set up on the wall that borders the bathroom, so I can hear her from the shower.
The pack n play doubles nicely for a storage center for clean-but-not-put-away laundry

I take the bucket carseat into the bathroom and ds sits strapped in while I shower. sometimes he plays in the bounce baby thing, it's like an exersaucer but smaller, in the bedroom in front of a mirror. our bathroom is far too small for anything other than the carseat. ds doesn't like getting in the shower with me.

When DS was little, he sat in the bouncer. Now I wait until his morning nap to shower-he naps for an hour or so, so plenty of time for me to get ready. The 1% of the time he doesn't nap, I have a pack n play in our bedroom with tons of toys that he's easily entertained in. I can see it easily from the shower.
