20 weeks and reconsidering MW choice

So far this decision has mostly come down to cost. There's a big gap in cost between the midwife I'm currently using and any of my other choices, so my first question is:
How much more (in dollars) would a midwife that you felt more PERSONALLY comfortable with be worth to you?

Second question is more specifically for those of you who prefer warm fuzzy midwives...huggy, warm, etc. How much is that worth to you? How heavily did that weigh in your decision.

I feel that clinically all my choices are 100% equal. I trust the midwife I'm currently using clinically. It's been more personal. Not sure how specific to be.....or how to be more specific.

i really can't answer your questions, but i do want to say that i think it is really important that the person who attends your birth is someone that you feel very comfortable and satisfied with. and at 20 weeks it is certainly not too late to switch providers.

sometimes midwives are flexible with payment plans or bartering. if there is another midwife who would be a better match for you, i would talk to her and see if you can work something out.

I am not a huggy/touchy person at all, so I would stay with the cheaper one. I'm basically a UCer who has a backup MW, so as long as she is competent and not pushy, I'm satisfied.

If you are huggy and need that kind of emotional support and you feel like the cheaper MW doesn't do that, would it be possible to get a huggy doula and keep it cheaper?
