Help me figure out if I'm pregnant, please?

Or if something else is going on

For a little back story, my cycle came back at 4 and a half month PP after DD was born. It took a cycle or two but it finally regulated itself to 30-31 days with a 10 day average LP, that's typical for me.

Fast forward to a little over two weeks ago when my DH came home, the 24th. We have *ahem* been very active but were careful to use condoms. I expected to ovulate around the same time, had fertile CM around the 27th-29th. I had period like cramps I think around the 3rd or 4th though I wasn't really keeping track, also felt really bloated. That isn't typical for me. AF was set to arrive either the night of the 8th or the morning of the 9th but she apparently missed the memo. Normally it's like clock work. I'm still having wet CM but no cramps/bloating that typically accompany AF. I've taken two tests today that were negative. So am I testing too early, or is something else going on?

And we also had sex, as DH has reminded me, without a condom during what I thought was my safe period before AF was supposed to arrive. Now all I can think is that I O'd much later in my cycle than I normally do.

Most people have CM before they ovulate but not after. Some people have a little bit all the time and more fertile CM around the time just before they ovulate. If you're sure you had fertile CM around the 27-29, you probably didn't ovulate until at least the 30th, so I'd wait at least a few more days before freaking out that AF isn't there. Keep in mind that if you're still having CM, it's possible that you haven't even ovulated yet.

This is good to know I didn't experience EWCM much at all during that time, just watery CM like I'm still having now. It's possible I started having fertile CM earlier than the 27th but didn't mark it on my chart until then. I wasn't keeping track as I normally do since we're using condoms as well. All I can think is that this cycle is just very off for me. Normally I have ovulation pain and have always been able to verify ovulation at that time with OPK's (and also conceive that way) but I don't remember having much in the way of O pain this time, only the menstrual like cramps on the 3rd and 4th.

I can't really give any more insight onto your situation. I just want to say that I'm going through something similar and so I can definitely sympathize with you and know something about what is going through your head!

I think that I maybe ovulated very late this cycle. I'm on day 32 and still have creamy CM. Since I think I ovulated late, I'm planning to wait 2 more weeks before I go buy a hpt.

Here's my chart, if you're interested. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2e34ae

K-mom - I think you may have just ovulated on CD29 - your temps look anovulatory until the spike - the next couple of days' temps should tell.

Well still no AF, and a test this morning said -

Katie - if you had fertile CM on the 27-29, you might not have ovulated until the 30th which would put you at 12dpo today, and well within time for AF to not come. The other thing is you could also have ovulated the 3/4th when you had the cramps and bloating - I get that when I ovulate. If you did, that would put your AF even further from coming as you would be around 8dpo today.

This is what I'm thinking. I really wish I would have done a better job of charting over the last few months. Based on my averages, I could have ovulated anywhere from the 27th-3rd. Ovulation pain for me is very different from menstrual cramps, it's more localized and sharp. The cramps and bloating during that time really threw me off. I've been having cramping since yesterday off and on which doesn't normally happen until AF is upon me, yet no AF. It's just very frustrating to not know one way or another and be stuck in limbo like this.

I think I saw a faint line this morning but I'm calling it an evap. Not going to believe it until I see an obvious line. I'm still having watery/creamy CM, this is now day 35 of my cycle.

Did the line come up in the allotted time?

Yeah, but to me it isn't dark enough or pink enough so I'm calling it an evap. line

Fwiw, evap lines come up when the test is dried which is why they are called evaps - I would guess that maybe you might have a BFP - which test did you take? Was it a blue dye test?

No, FRER. I saw another faint line pop up tonight but DH claims he doesn't see it, I think he's living in denial/freak-out land right now. I'm just going to keep testing until I see a solid positive or until AF shows up.

Definite but faint line on a cheapie test around midnight last night and a line on an FRER this morning. Pretty safe to say that I'm pregnant. I can't even begin to guess a due date but based on how faint the line is I'd say I'm around 10-11DPO, this cycle completely threw me for a loop. Though this is totally unplanned, I tend to think things always happen for a reason so I'm happy and excited for a new baby

You actually look more like 7-8dpo to me - it's hard to say since you are missing temps in there before the temp spike :-) Congratulations!

The plot thickens. I got a BFN on a digital, after three faint positives on three different tests. If I'm not pregnant, is there another logical explanation, or if I am is there something to explain the test discrepancy? The digital was a FR gold. I'm still having cramps as I have all week and watery CM.
