yeah, I got neg on the $tree test a few days ago and a bfn on the frer I used this morning...so Guess I'll just wait on AF- should be this weekend sometime. I'll retest early next week if necessary. Hubby will be happy to do more "practicing" for next month

BFN but I'm on cd 33 and still no af. 34 days is the longest my cycle has ever been so maybe there is still a slight chance! Maybe next month will be our time

yeah, AF showed up for me too on Wed night. Stinks.
I'm taking maca and it has done wonders for my energy level and it *is* shortening my cycles (good) but apparently I'm going to be having some wicked progesterone issues after ovulation (bad). Good thing to know that my LP is 15 days though. I'm new to charting and haven't been consistent so the LP info is at least something positive that came out of all this. Maybe next month! Hoping to get preggo before the anticipated due date reaches the summer months! Too hot!

Hey mollipop, I am in Houston too, and I had dd in August. It wasn't too bad! Especially since she was born a little jaundiced and my midwife told me to take her outside nakey. She LOVED it! And I stayed indoors for the most part. Except when my family drug me to Schlitterbahn in Galveston when I was 8 months preggo. I became the sunglasses holder for everyone while they were on the rides. People would smile at my big belly as they passed by and I'd practically snarl at them. Hehehe.

Here's hoping your next cycle will give you a bfp! I'm only on 4 dpo, soooo, I have quite a ways to go until I can test. I don't have my hopes up though, my cycle was funky this time.

Hey sarahkristin, my name is Sarah too! Nice to meet someone from close by!

Although I certainly won't complain about my due date month should I get pregnant, I sure would like to not be "heavy" pregnant in the summer. I have a garden and that requires a lot of outside time even in the summer. I also have quite a bit of extra, um, "padding" that keeps my quite warm on top of the fact that I am originally from OHIO (!). People told me when I moved here that I would get used to it but it sure hasn't happened yet

Where in Houston are you? We're on the southeast side- actually b/w Htown and Galveston. What did you think of Schlitterbahn? We haven't been there yet. Or to the beach. In 10 years. Gotta get out more!

Good luck on getting a bfp! Keep us posted!

Well, ya know... it takes roughly 9 days for the fertilized egg to implant. Before implantation, your body makes no hcg, which is what causes the nausea and all that. So if you're feeling pregnant, it *could* be impending AF (sorry for the downer there), or it could be your mind. Few more days and you should be able to tell!

Implantation happens, on average, between 5 and 7 dpo, it does not take 9 days and even implanting at 9dpo is considered a somewhat late implantation.

not sure about that. ff says implantation takes place typically between 7-10 dpo. peeonastick says 6-12. every website seems to say something a tad different, but if you google it, it seems the consensus, even on the real scientific sites, is that it happens on avg about dpo 8. my ob/gyn residents survival guide handbook for clinicians from stanford university's ob residency program says it starts implanting on dpo 6 and finishes implanting on dpo 10.

Well, I started last week and am well into my next chart. I think the maca that I'm taking is affecting my LP symtpoms. From what I understand, it is the progesterone in the LP phase (?) that can cause nausea. The symptoms that I had were not normal PMS for me, started just after ovulation, and weren't all just in my head. My first 2 cycles on maca were more regular and shorter (they used to be unpredictable) but the PMS symptoms weren't any different. This cycle brought up a red flag b/c of the intensity of the symptoms I was feeling and I knew we timed our dtd pretty well. Apparently, it was just the maca.
