Advice on HB birth pools

Thread Starter
My husband and I are thinking of buying a tub versus renting one. If we purchase, we would have it to use for our future births and not have to rent again, which would be nice.

I was wondering if anyone had experiences with either the AquaBorn Eco Birth Pool or the Birth In A Box Birth Pool?

Both seem equally well equipped- the AquaBorn does come with a lid and the Birth In A Box pool seems to be pretty popular, I like the oval shape too.

Has the water stayed warm in the one you have used? How do you feel about inflatable? (My previous HB we used a hard-sided water tub.) Were you able to use a water heater? Where did find a water heater to use with the vinyl pools? Could you and your partner comfortably fit and move around?

Where did you purchase your pool? (If you bought one instead of renting.)

Thanks!!

birthing pool answer

i am planning a water birth @ home, and we ordered a pool from :mywaterbirth.com. the pool they carry is La Bassine, and we ordered the pool that cost $145. i have not used mine yet, but did get 2 recommendations from women who used them and were very happy with it. the website is very helpful, full of info. hope this helps some, and good luck!
