wording for varicella-only exemption

I'm in Ohio and am going to submit a philosophical exemption for varicella only. DS has been on a selective, delayed schedule for other vaxes.

Any advice/help on wording I can use?

Are you doing it for school? My kids both have exemptions, one has had some vaxes, one has had none. I just filled out the philosophical exemption for all vaccines for school. I didn't specify any single vaccine, I just didn't submit a vaccine record and submitted an exemption instead.

This is what I was going to say, too. In the event of an outbreak of a VPD, you can always bring in the record and they will let him continue to attend. We didn't stop vaxing until ds1 was 2.5 . His former school had a measles outbreak and just told me he couldn't come back for x amount of time unless we vaccinated him or showed proof of past vaccination. He had had one dose of the measles vax, and that was enough to allow him back. I just had to bring it in.

Thanks for the quick responses. Yes, it is for school. I actually already turned in the vax record for everything else. I would rather he contract chicken pox than receive the immunization. I have a form to complete for the exemption but it asks me to write the reason I am requesting the philosophical exemption and I'm not sure what I should write there. I believe Ohio law states you can receive the philosophical exemption for "good reason" which sounds so subjective to me!

I think I just wrote "parental exercising of philosophical exemption rights" or something like that. I was very vague.
