Dress up shoes in a Youth Size 2-3?

Dd really wants a pair of 'high heels' to dress up in. She got a pair of those cheapo plastic ones from my SIL at Christmas that she's enamored with. But, SIL is a petite little thing and forgot that she was sending gifts to the Bigfoot family. Dd wears a size 1 or 1 1/2 youth (well past size 13), and those look like about a size 8-10.

She's got a pair of lovely sparkly ballet flats, but she wants something with 'heels' for playing dress up in. (Who knows why, I never wear heels!). After struggling with my inner self for a bit, I've decided that since it's one of only 2 things she's asked for for her birthday, I'm going to do it.

I've scoured Goodwill and can't find anything small enough for her to be able to wear now. They have size 5+. Those are too big and they'll fall off and drive her crazy.

Ideas?

really?!!! have you tried target or payless shoes the children's counter? if you have these stores where you are. dd's dad got her a pair of size 2 strappy sandals from target. i saw some white ones at payless.

what kind of heels are you looking for? closed shoes with heels? or strappy sandals?

i have seen both types at both payless and target.

Try googling Children's ballroom dance shoes. You'll find lots of heels in small sizes with straps.

Hmm.. it was easier to find during the holidays. I hate the cheapo dress-up shoes; ours have always fallen apart. So, for Christmas, I found a pair of regular shoes super marked down at Children's Place I think. They have a slight heel and are super silvery/sparkly. Nothing I would allow her to wear outside the house, though apparently other mothers would! I got them 2 sizes to big so they'd only work for dress-up.

ETA: eBay has a ton that would probably work!

Of course! I"ve seen them there too and always complained about who the heck would dress their 6 year old up in high heels! (OK, so our neighbor's 9 year old has feet smaller than dd, it might explain why they sell high heels in dd's size.)

I found a pair on Ebay, however, so I think we're good to go. It's a good thing because she was cramming her feet into those plasticy ones this evening and it made me shudder.
